Wowee Zonk getz own'd.

Chris here.

As Patrick mentioned previously, we just returned from New York where we attended the first annual Brooklyn Comics and Graphics Festival. It was really cool, albeit small (In the basement of Our Lady of Consolation Church). Despite the size, the room was packed with a lot of really talented people. Following is a short list of talented people that I am stoked to report are now owners of Wowee Zonk #2.

Charles Burns. (Black Hole, Big Baby, El Borbah, etc...)

Ron Rege Jr. (Against Pain, Skibber-bee-bye, The Awake Field, etc...)

Matt Brinkman. (Multi-Force, Teratoid Heights, Fort Thunder, etc...)

Jillian Tamaki (she also has issue one). (Skim, Gilded Lilies, etc...)

There were a lot of other stellar people that we gave books to, but I don't know their names.

Get Zonk'd.

Back From Brooklyn

We're back from the Brooklyn Comics and Graphics Festival.

We took no pictures, so i have nothing to post. We handed out a ton of comics, and left a pile at the door. Hopefully you got one!

Here's a drawing Chris and I drew while sitting in the Grassroots tavern on St. Marks in Manhattan. There is probably some really fantastic bars in New York, and this place may or may not be one of them, But a place with 4 dollar pints of Brooklyn Lager is essentially the promise land in comparison to the joints in Toronto.

Chris and I did most of our planning for the first Wowee Zonk while sitting in bars doing drawings like this, so the name 'Grassroots' is apt.

Ps, There is some new stuff for sale at my personal blog http://patrickkillustration.blogspot.com

Free Wowee Zonk at The Brooklyn Comics and Graphics Festival.

Chris Kuzma and I are going to be attending The Brooklyn Comics and Graphics Festival this coming Saturday.

When we had just barely finished The first Issue of Wowee Zonk (it was actually not finished, the cover only had a single layer silkscreen print) Chris and I brought it down to MOCCA in New York and distributed a nubmer of copies for free. In a similar fashion, we're bringing a stack of very finished Wowee Zonk 2's to hand out at The Brooklyn Comics and Graphics Festival.

If you're going to be there this weekend, look for the idiots with stacks of comics.
